Volunteer… it feels good!

So you’ve just made it through another long day in Grenada. Your other half has been busy toiling away at school… meanwhile, you did a little grocery shopping, spent some time at pool day, and now you’re wondering if you can possibly stomach yet another reality TV show to fill up the rest of your day. Well, we’re here to let you know that you’ve got another option… come out and join us and VOLUNTEER!

Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved in your community and to learn more about the people and culture of Grenada. It’s also a fun way to get to know other SOs and make new friends. You may learn new things or put the skills you already have to good use. You even have the option to gain recognition for your contributions through our new Volunteer Log (always good for the ol’ resume!). Best of all, we promise that you’ll come away from whatever volunteer venture you choose feeling like you made a difference.

We have a variety of volunteer projects to choose from… whatever it is that you’re interested in, we can probably find something that will fit you perfectly. From mentoring kids to making goat cheese to cleaning up Grenada’s coastline… we’ve got it all and we’d be happy to help you find the project that will inspire you.

Please check out the SO website for a description of our current projects at:

Or contact us directly at so.sgu.volunteer@gmail.com with any questions you might have.

You can also keep an eye on our new volunteer blog which will be hi-lighting volunteer projects that SOs are involved in:  https://sovolunteer.wordpress.com

We are looking forward to another successful semester of volunteerism and we can’t wait to see you out there!
